Nina Sankovitch
American Rebels: How the Hancock, Adams, and Quincy Families Fanned the Flames of Revolution by Nina Sankovitch is a historical book that explores the intertwined lives of these three prominent Massachusetts families and their crucial roles in sparking the American Revolution.
The book details how childhood friendships in Braintree, Massachusetts, between figures like John Hancock, John Adams, and Josiah Quincy Jr., and their wives Abigail Adams and Dorothy Quincy Hancock, evolved into a powerful collaboration against British rule, covering events from the Boston Massacre to the Declaration of Independence. It offers a fresh perspective by focusing on these families’ personal connections, shared sense of duty, and the significant impact of the women in their lives.
